The Minnesota Vikings may be done drafting but they’re hardly done adding young players who can help make the Mike Zimmer regime one that is successful and one that sticks around for a long time.

While the playmakers may for the most part be off the board, there are always a few stragglers who don’t get picked and turn into studs. Kain Colter from Northwestern may be one of those guys and the Vikings are willing to find out. According to Colter himself, he has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Vikings.

Colter made headlines as the leader of the Northwestern push to get unionized as players and helped advance the discussion throughout all of sports. He’s no longer at Northwestern to fight the good fight, but his outspokenness on the matter may be motivation to become a star at the pro level so his stage is bigger and is power is greater.
