As is the case every year, once the draft comes to an end, there are many players still looking for a home. Usually, those undrafted players quickly sign with a team and get ready to go to work. Often times it is better for a player to go undrafted instead of getting picked in the final round. Players can assess their situation and see if a team has a need at their position or has shown a lot of interest in them. In some cases, players simply choose to stay closer to home. Obviously, the majority of undrafted free agents don’t make it, but there are still plenty who have made an impact.

Here’s a list of who the Cincinnati Bengals signed as part of their undrafted free agent haul:

  • Ryan Hewitt, FB, Stanford
  • Trey Hopkins, OG, Texas
  • Isaiah Lewis, S, Michigan State
  • Colin Lockett, TE, San Diego State
  • Alex Neutz, WR, Buffalo
  • Kevin Palmer, OL, Baylor
  • Nikita Whitlock, DT, Wake Forest
  • James Wilder, Jr., RB, Florida State

Not everyone is going to end up being signed, as some are just going to be tryouts and nothing else. But they’re all names to keep an eye on as you never know who will pop.
