The NBA Draft Combine is this week in Chicago and teams will be getting one last good look at the draft class as a whole before hunkering down to hammer out draft strategies. But while there will be plenty to look at in Chicago, another notable player has added his list to the names not planning on attending.

According to Boston Globe reporter Baxter Holmes, it’s unlikely that Kansas freshman star Andrew Wiggins attends the combine in Chicago.

Unlike the NFL, the combine is pretty much irrelevant to top picks as there is no way Wiggins will slide out of the top-5 if he skips the combine. The same can be said for Joel Embiid and Jabari Parker, two other players not planning on attending the event.

Wiggins may end up being the No. 1 overall pick and should he have a good combine, he may solidify that status. But no attending hardly hurts him as he’ll have plenty of time for private workouts as well as interviews with teams who already know what he can do on the court.
