NBA Rumors: Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer wants to buy Los Angeles Clippers
By Josh Hill
As the NBA moves to take the Los Angeles Clippers away from anyone named Sterling, the list of potential new owners is lining up and the prestige is making other owners want to speed the sale of the Clippers along. From Oprah to Dr. Dre and Magic Johnson, there is a list of celebrities wanting to rescue the Clippers from the Sterlings and the list keeps growing longer.
We can now add basketball nut and former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer to the list of those who want to buy the Clippers.
This makes a lot of sense that Ballmer would want to buy the Clippers — and he most certainly does, even if this tweet isn’t an official report — as he’s been trying to get a team for years.
The only problem with Ballmer as owner is he’s been trying to get a team back in Seattle for years which is fine but won’t happen if he buys the Clippers. Still, moving the Clippers to Seattle would be an epic move despite the fact it is never going to happen.
Ballmer owning the Clipper in Los Angeles is a different, more realistic story to watch though.
