The Chicago Bears came oh-so-close to winning the NFC North last season and earning themselves a trip to the playoffs. However, they lost to the hated Green Bay Packers in a thriller of a game in the regular season finale and were sent home packing.
This season in 2014, QB Jay Cutler, head coach Marc Trestman and the rest of the Bears will hope to put it all together throughout the season and punch that playoff ticket that they were so close to punching last year, and that journey begins with the offseason workouts.
Here’s a look at the OTA and minicamp schedule for the Chicago Bears for the 2014 season.
OTA offseason workouts: May 27-28, May 30, June 2-3, June 5, June 9-12
Mandatory minicamp: June 17-19
Cutler was given a contract extension this offseason, so now the pressure is on him to lead the Bears to the promised land more than ever. To do that, he’ll have to avoid the injury bug that plagued him last season, because the team no longer has Josh McCown to step in a lead the team like they did last year when Cutler was out.
