The Carolina Panthers were busy focusing on their draft over the weekend but before they can relish in their rookie haul for this season, they must deal with a big problem for one of their biggest stars. Hardy, who signed a one year deal with the Panthers after getting franchise tagged, will now face charges that could warrant discipline from the NFL. This causes all sorts of problems for the Panthers as they may lose Hardy for a chuck of the only season on his contract, but it causes more problems for Hardy.
The Panthers drafted defensive end Kony Ealy over weekend, and that selection now carries a lot of weight with Hardy’s arrest. We can’t predict what the long term ramifications of this are, but if Hardy is indeed guilty of domestic violence then he could be facing more problems then anyone anticipated.
