After stunning everyone by making the playoffs in 2012 under the direction of rookie phenom QB Robert Griffin III and head coach Mike Shanahan, 2013 was miserable for the ‘Skins as Griffin struggled to stay healthy and the team limped to a 3-13 record. Right after the season, Shanahan was relieved of his duties as head coach and long-time assistant and former Arena League coach, Jay Gruden, was hired.

Now the Redskins are looking to get themselves back to 2012 form, and that starts with the offseason workout programs. Here’s a look at the schedule for the Redskins coming up this spring and summer.

OTA offseason workouts: May 27-29, June 2-4, June 9-12

Mandatory minicamp: June 17-19

This team certainly has most of the tools that it needs to get back to the postseason, especially since they went out and signed one of the best wide receivers in the league in DeSean Jackson not long after he was cut by the rival Philadelphia Eagles. Picturing a healthy Griffin and Jackson moving the ball vertically down the field is a scary thought for teams in the NFC East.

How do you think the Redskins will do in 2014? Can they make it back to the playoffs? Let us know in the comments below.
