The Los Angeles Clippers were in control of Game 5 against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a double-digit lead in the final minutes, and they appeared poised to take a 3-2 series lead in the Western Conference semifinals.

However, Chris Paul and company began to collapse and the Thunder quickly closed the lead before a controversial foul on Paul behind the three-point line gave Thunder guard Russell Westbrook an opportunity to give the Thunder the lead with just six seconds to goal.

Westbrook was able to give the Thunder the lead as the team went on to complete the improbably comeback and take the series lead.

This all came after another controversial out of bounds call that gave Oklahoma City the ball with an opportunity to tie or take the lead. On that possession, Paul was called for the foul that caused the Twittersphere to lose their minds.

There were bad calls on both teams throughout the game, so it is hard to blame this call solely for the Clippers loss — especially since they choked down the stretch and blew such a commanding lead.

Regardless of how controversial the ending may have been, the Thunder came away with the win and now are in the driver’s seat with an opportunity to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
