The health inspector might want to pay a visit to the Shake Shacks in New York, cause those places are causing food poisoning left and right.

I don’t know what’s going on over there, undercooking or bad meat or what, but both Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg and Mets first baseman Lucas Duda claim they were sickened this weekend after eating burgers from separate Shake Shack locations.

Sandberg got so sick from meat consumed at the Citi Field Shake Shack that he reportedly lost six pounds in two days. That is some serious burger-induced diarrhea right there. Somebody get Ryno an IV, stat!

Turns out, a couple Phillies coaches narrowly avoided the same fate as Sandberg, nearly chomping down on the suspect meat themselves but peeling back at the last second.

“A couple of coaches took a bite and didn’t like what they saw and threw the rest away,” Sandberg said per the New York Post. “I was in a rush so I ended up putting it away.

“I had one piece of toast in two days, and I’m feeling fine about that. I don’t want anything in my stomach.”

Lucas Duda meanwhile had to go to the hospital after eating a burger at a separate Shake Shack location and was forced to miss Friday’s game.

Pro tip: If visiting New York, avoid Shake Shack. Unless you have the stomach of a grizzly bear.
