Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson has been quite vocal lately in terms of money. With other players at his position around the league such as Richard Sherman and Joe Haden getting tossed new contracts with a lot of dollars included, Peterson feels that he is the best CB in the entire NFL and it’s time the Cardinals paid him like it.

Although judging from the recent birthday present that he bought teammate Tyrann Mathieu, money really isn’t that big of an issue for the Pro-Bowler.

We don’t even know what that cost and we probably don’t want to because the price tag alone would make us physically ill once the reality set in that neither you nor I will ever see one of those in our lifetimes.

I guess that’s just how LSU boys take care of each other when they’re in the league making the big bucks.

In all seriousness, though, there is a sentimental feel to seeing something like this. Even with all of the off-the-field issues that Mathieu brought along with him to the NFL Draft last season, Peterson lobbied for him to come to the Cardinals to play with him so he could watch over him as he did when they were teammates at LSU.
