Looking a lot like Mario Chalmers and any member of the Miami Heat, David West of the Pacers rips into teammate Paul George after a fastbreak.

Based on the video, it seems that West had a huge problem with George not getting back in transition and helping the other four players who did as they allowed the Washington Wizards to grab a few offensive rebounds. And looking at how long the possession lasted before the refs called a foul to stop play, you can’t blame West.

For both players, especially in an elimination game, this isn’t a good look. In a way, you expect David West to do what he has to do to rile his troops up in order for the Pacers to finish off the Wizards, but these young guys on the Pacers haven’t exactly displayed the best mental stability throughout the season and playoffs. For Paul George this could make or break how he plays for the remainder of the game.

There has been a lot of pressure on the Pacers this season as they’ve been the bigger Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde team we’ve seen in ages. Losing to this Wizards team will feed into the speak that this Pacers club was never an elite team and that’s not an image you want going into the offseason.

So Paul George, and the rest of his teammates, must step it up in order to close out this young Wizards team. Lebron James and the Miami Heat now stand in their way of appearing in the NBA Finals for the first time since the early 2000s. He’s going to need to focus less on the hecklers and the more on the competition on the floor or it’ll be an early exit for the Pacers.
