The NBA Draft Combine is this week in Chicago and while the likes of Jabari Parker, Joel Embiid and Andrew Wiggins won’t be there, the fourth best prospect in the draft is creating a lot of buzz even if he’s not doing much.

Dante Exum is the best point guard prospect in the draft this year and teams at the top of the order are all starting to eye him as a potential pick. Previously, it was thought that the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers were the main teams to covet Exum but that has changed and now the Boston Celtics have entered the discussion.

This will put Rajon Rondo fans on their toes, but there’s a chance that a tandem could work for as long as Rondo stays in Boston. There’s not guarantee that he’ll be with the Celtics long-term though, ash drafting the best and most exciting point guard in the draft seems to be a good backup plan to stash in your back pocket.

It’s unclear if the Celtics will truly covet the Australian guard, but they would be hard pressed to pass on him if he’s there and the best option available. As we’ve seen in the NBA recently, you can never have too many explosive players and the Celtics can use as many as they can find.
