The NBA playoffs are still going on but there is another big event that all of the teams who didn’t make the postseason cut will be very interested in. Love it or hate it, the NBA Draft Lottery is next week and that means we will bust out the ping pong balls to decide who gets the No. 1 overall pick and if there will be any shakeups in the draft order.

It’s a confusing system, more confusing than it has to be, but no matter how you feel about it there’s always at least a little part of every NBA fan who is excited to see which direction those ping pong balls will bounce. The only three draft slots that can change are the top three which means the entire draft order won’t change but if a team slotted to pick 13th overall wins the lottery, everything gets a little wacky.

All of this will be sorted out on Tuesday though, as that’s when the Lottery takes place. We don’t know the specific start time for the event, as it’s tentatively scheduled along with the Conference Finals schedule, so until things are set there won’t be a concrete time for the Lottery.

Still, no matter how the Conference Finals schedules shape up, the Lottery will take place before which ever game is scheduled for Tuesday as the time may not be set but the date no doubt is.
