Over the last few weeks, it looked like Steve Kerr was a shoe-in to be the next head coach of the New York Knicks. Because of his relationship with Phil Jackson, several reports surfaced claiming Kerr and the Knicks were close to a deal.
However, Kerr opted to sign a five-year, $25 million deal with the Golden State Warriors, choosing a much better roster led by super shooter Stephen Curry rather than the uncertain future of Carmelo Anthony with the Knicks.
Now, Jackson is apparently towards another former player – Derek Fisher. Of course, Jackson could have to wait up to a month to give Fisher the job – he is currently a reserve point guard with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder will take on the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals.
Our friends at Bovada have sent over their latest odds.
