Kevin Love trade rumors: Houston Rockets planning aggressive play

The Kevin Love trade rumors are beginning to heat up as a number of teams begin planning their run at a potential trade for the Minnesota Timberwolves star. The Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, and Golden State Warriors are the teams most commonly linked to Love, but there is another contender who is ready to make a move.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Houston Rockets are “planning an aggressive play” for a Love trade.

Wojnarowski notes that Rockets head coach Kevin McHale has a very strong bond with the All-Star big man.

In Houston, the Rockets would have an incredible front court if Love joined the team. Love would join All-Star center Dwight Howard, who joined the Rockets just one offseason ago. With Houston trying to make a breakthrough in the Western Conference, it would be a huge win to pair Howard and Love together.

Regardless of what happens, we can expect to hear a number of trade rumors continue to swirl as we approach the offseason.

It will just be a matter of who is willing to give up the most and whether or not that will be enough for the Timberwolves to unload Love.

How are the Rockets going to make an aggressive move? Flip certainly doesn’t need Asik or Jeremy Lin, especially at $15 million each this upcoming season. They are also over the salary cap. They have their own #25 pick and that is it. In fact what team wants either Asik or Lin at $15 million? That is what the Rockets pay James Harden.
