Heading into Sunday’s game with a four game losing streak, two to the Astros and two to the Blue Jays, the Rangers felt the need to get together and hash things out before they finished up a series with Toronto.

Before their 3:05 EST game against the Blue Jays, the Rangers held a team meeting. It happened at around noon eastern time, and according to Eric Nadel of KESN radio, the team kicked all media members out of the clubhouse to hold the meeting. KESN’s “Star of the Game” was Mitch Moreland, who had a go-ahead two-run home run in the seventh inning.

The Rangers have certainly had their share of adversity. On top of having sent 17 men to the disabled list already this year, Prince Fielder has had to sit for two games in a row with a herniated disk in his neck, and Rougned Odor was scratched from Sunday’s starting lineup with a sore right wrist.

The Rangers beat the Blue Jays 6-2. Their ability to carry that momentum after an off day on Monday will be the big story going into their two-game series against division rival Seattle on Tuesday.
