According to ESPN’s resident NBA draft expert Chad Ford, there is an interesting development when it comes to the second pick of this June’s draft.
Caveat: if Andrew Wiggins is available at two, that is who the Bucks will select in all likelihood.
If Wiggins goes first overall to the Cleveland Cavaliers, a very strong possibility, things get interesting at two. Milwaukee would most certainly covet center Joel Embiid. However, teams have not be privy to a physical from the young man and don’t know the extent of his back health/injury.

If they cannot get him in for a physical before draft day, the Bucks may take Australian point guard Dante Exum instead of Duke forward Jabari Parker. The possibility of the previously believed, dead-set top three to be shuffled is because Parker plays the same position as Milwaukee’s best young talent: Giannis Antetokounmpo. They would be better served to select the point guard Exum and slide Brandon Knight to the two, a position he is perfectly capable of playing.
There are many working parts to this scenario, but for a top three that was supposed to be unbreachable, it is a compelling case Ford makes.
