The first place Milwaukee Brewers will continue their 10 game road trip tonight as they head to Miami to take on the Marlins.

According to Tom Haudricourt on Twitter, Outfielder Carlos Gomez is back into the starting lineup for tonight’s game but Ryan Braun is not.

Haudricourt notes that Gomez is hitting cleanup. Which is interesting since he’s been leading off the Milwaukee order for most of the season. This change is because of the injuries to not only Ryan Braun himself, but Aramis Ramirez. Gomez has himself 10 home runs and 23 RBIs on a batting line of .298/.374/.560 through 168 at-bats so far this season.

He’s currently on pace to eclipse his career highs in all three important categories – hits, home runs and runs batted in. Gomez finished last season with 152 hits, 24 long-balls and 73 RBIs.

Braun on the other hand (A guy who CM Punk referred to as a schmuck) hasn’t been placed on the disabled list just yet. He’s currently dealing with an oblique injury which he suffered during last night’s game against the Atlanta Braves. The veteran outfielder was pulled during the top of the fifth inning after experiencing a little bit of tightness in his right side.

Milwaukee will more than likely give him a couple days or at least today to see how he feels before making a decision about a stint on the disabled list.
