If you thought that Ray Allen was getting old and couldn’t hack it anymore, then you were wrong. While the entire game between the Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat is worth talking about, you have to lead with how insanely on fire Ray Allen was late in the game as he managed to hit three pointer after three pointer to get the Heat a lead that they were able to sustain throughout to the end.

More from Indiana Pacers

LeBron James was beyond fired up when Allen started stroking his three point game, and it’s a sight that Heat fans were hoping to see in Game 3. As for Pacers fans, they probably could have done without the late game beatdown that Allen gave them as they were bludgeoned to death in the fourth quarter by not just Allen but everything that the Heat could get their hands on.

Bosh, LeBron, Wade, the bench and even the Pacers own mistakes all contributed to yet another fourth quarter meltdown by Indiana and that may be a theme in this series they won’t be able to shake.

We saw the Pacers nearly blow their Game 1 lead, they couldn’t muster up a comeback in Game 2 and those fourth quarter struggles extended to Game 3.  Now the Pacers are down 2-1 in the series and must try and win another game in Miami or risk heading back to Indiana with their backs up against the ropes.

Last year we saw Indiana bounce back from losses and answer with wins, not losing back-to-back games until Games six and seven. this year they’ve dropped two of their first three games against the Heat and things got no better in Game three to suggest that Game four will go any better for the Pacers.
