The Atlanta Hawks were under the spotlight after nearly upsetting the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 2014 NBA Playoffs, but now have much to do this summer in hopes of continuing their push into the conversation as a top team in the Eastern Conference.

More from Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks are likely fixated on the draft as it approaches, but may be planning other moves as well, including the possibility of bringing over 2013 draft choice Lucas Nogueira from Spain.

Encestando is reporting that the young center will be leaving Estudiantes this summer, likely for Atlanta.

From the report (translation):

"Although it still has a season left on his contract, Nogueira has decided to leave the Madrid team and it has informed teammates. His exit clause to the American League is $ 600,000 because this summer is lowered relative to the marking million contract for twelve months ago."

The Atlanta Hawks may be looking for help in their front court after Gustavo Ayon underwent shoulder surgery back in February and is likely headed for free agency and bringing Nogueira over is the assumed first choice by the team as the offseason gets underway.

The report also mentions that if no move to the NBA occurs, Nogueira will receive offers to join a Euroleague team.
