It wasn’t that long ago that the Oakland Raiders had one of the worst wide receiver corps in the league. But after a solid offseason, the Raiders, despite lacking a true No. 1 wideout have emerged with one of the deeper groups of wide receivers in the NFL.

More from Las Vegas Raiders

In fact, the group has become overly talented and it’s possible the Raiders may be forced to cut a wideout with a relatively high ceiling, this according to CSN California.

Oakland usually keeps five wide receivers on their roster, though, may up that number to six this season in effort to retain some of their talented route runners.

We know free agent addition James Jones has a secure roster spot as does Rod Streater, who is coming off his first 1,000 yard season. In addition, Denarius Moore will be around as well despite his inconsistent play.

That leaves only two or three spots for Andre Holmes, Greg Little, Brice Butler and Juron Cutler – not including the handful of solid wideouts the Raiders brought in as undrafted free agents.

Needless to say, the Oakland front office is going to have a handful of difficult decisions to make in the coming months, though I’m sure they’re happy to make it given what they’ve dealt with in the past.
