Roy Hibbert is known more for his defensive work, but earlier tonight he made it known that even so, you shouldn’t ignore him on the offensive end. After David West fed him with a nifty little interior pass, Hibbert reached up and threw down a Shaq-like dunk. Barely leaving the ground, Hibbert extended his arm skyward and hammered the ball through the hoop with great force and authority.

Now in the second quarter, the Pacers are looking to repeat their performance from Game 1 of this series. Halfway through the frame, they currently hold a 15 point lead at 37-22.

Hibbert is actually leading the way offensively for Indiana with 10 points. Luis Scola, meanwhile, has chipped in 8 off the bench, helping the Pacers extend their lead while giving the starters a rest.

This is a great start for the Pacers, but there is still plenty of time left in this one. With LeBron James and Dwyane Wade leading the way, the Heat are certainly capable of making a comeback–especially at home. A big factor on whether or not Indiana is able to win this game will be how they close out the second quarter. They can’t allow Miami to make a big run at the end of the half and steal the momentum.
