The cameras were rolling, and members of the Philadelphia Phillies team were asked as part of an in-game video to make confessions about the weirdest thing they had ever done, per a story by the Sporting News.

Skipper Ryne Sandberg may have had one of the weirdest. Sandberg says he enjoyed snacking on cat food as a kid.

No other words but, eeeew.

“I did that as a youngster, maybe four or five-years-old, maybe six-years-old,” Sandberg said in the video.

And did he do this on a dare, or as punishment for not cleaning his room? No, he actually couldn’t tell you why.

“I don’t know. I guess I was hungry. I still remember the crunchiness of it was the biggest thing. This wasn’t a one time thing either. This went on for about a year as a little snack,” he confessed.

Ryne, do we need to make you a list of snack foods that can be considered crunchy that would be healthier, if not less disgusting, for a 5-year-old to eat?

And what would a story like this be without some sort of ribbing happening on Twitter?

Yep..here it is.

Sorry @Phillies and @Cut4, the record for the Meower still stands at 10.
