For anybody who’s ever had to drive in San Francisco, you know it’s not exactly an enviable task.

Between the overpopulated, extremely small roads and pedestrians walking in front of you, it’s just not something you want to do. The situation only gets worse as you enter the Financial District or the China Basis, especially on a day where the San Francisco Giants play.
Not wanting any part of that, outfielder Hunter Pence purchased a motorized scooter when he was traded to the team in 2012 by the Philadelphia Phillies.
The custom scooter quickly became extremely popular in the Giants’ clubhouse leading to a handful of fellow teammates like Barry Zito and Tim Lincecum to purchase their own.
Pence religiously rides his scooter to AT&T Park before every home game and the franchise has even taken it upon themselves to create advertisements and promotional giveaways featuring Pence’s famed scooter. But sadly, the scooter is gone after it was stolen while Pence dined at Epic, a local San Francisco restaurant after the Giants’ three-game sweep of the Minnesota Twins on Sunday evening.
The unique and mildly strange outfielder has stated that he “can’t fathom driving” and will be offering a reward for the safe return of the scooter.
Thankfully he did have a backup which he rode to San Francisco’s game against the Chicago Cubs on Monday afternoon, though said he hardly made it as the battery on his other scooter is all but shot.
Pence said he’s already ordered a replacement, though, would still prefer to get his original returned.
