Through the world of social media, we’ve been able to watch the journey of former Buffalo Bills quarterback and Hall of Famer Jim Kelly from his unfortunate cancer diagnosis to his amazing resiliency in battling the disease. We’ve seen the good moments and we’ve seen the bad, and on Wednesday, thankfully, we were able to witness one of the good moments as Kelly celebrated being finished with his radiation therapy, eight days after he completed his chemo.

Now these are the sights we like to see. Kelly could have kept all of this, from start to finish, about as private as he wanted, but he wanted all of us to be right there with him for all the moments, and as bad as some of them were at times, pictures like the one shown above make it all worth while.

And to top it all off, not long after the celebration photo was taken, Kelly’s wife posted this photo on Instagram of her husband triumphantly leaving the hospital to go home, with this caption: “

High fives. Tears. And A LOT OF THANKS AND PRAISE!!!!

Again, THANK YOU FOR PRAYING! Don’t stop!”
