Donald Sterling voted most hated man in America

Embattled Los Angeles Clippers owner–at least for now–isn’t just despised across the country after his racist comments were revealed which resulted in a $2.5 million fine and a lifetime ban from the NBA, but according to a poll by E-Poll Market Research that was released on Thursday, Sterling is the most hated man in America.

“Donald Sterling made these callous statements and then he has more than doubled down on them since then,” said Jerry Philpott, president and CEO of E-Poll.

Sterling was named on 92 percent of the ballots which surveyed 1,100 people between 13-49from various demographics and on 97 percent of the ballots from the 13-24 male demographic. Philpot said the average percentage for athletes who are disliked is at 15 percent, so Sterling is going to skew that number just a tad.

Sterling beat out Bernie Madoff whose Ponzi scheme bilked countless individuals out of billions of dollars, who is disliked by 90 percent of the population, disgraced Heisman winner and former NFL running back OJ Simpson (88 percent), Michael Jackson’s doctor Conrad Murray (88 percent) and Justin Bieber (86 percent) who rounded out the top five.

Phil Spector (83) came in sixth. Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez (81), who was in court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to two first-degree murder charges, finished seventh on the list. Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael Lohan (76) came in eighth, Elliot Spitzer (73) came in ninth and Jon Gosselin (71) came in tenth on the list.

I haven’t even thought of some of those people on this list in the longest time, but apparently they are still strongly disliked by people across the country, despite not being in the public eye as much as Sterling has over the past month.

Sterling is fighting the sale of the Clippers which he purchased in 1981 and could be sold for nearly $2 billion.

To put Justin Bieber in that listing shows how the media with it’s constant spewing of exaggerated, false, misleading or half true gossip reports such as that he spat on fans [untrue] has smeared this kid in the general population; rarely are his charitable activities reported [he was one of the leaders among celebrities in both 2012 and 2013] we also can see how bullying and hateful we have become; the others deserve to be in that list but not him. Has he killed, mugged, sold drugs, abuse a kid, raped, burned a house, etc?
