There’s the old cliché that all athletes want to be musicians, and all musicians want to be athletes. Well plenty of athletes actually do try their hand at music, including Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and Iman Shumpert to name a few.

More from NBA

Shumpert has even gone so far as to release his own mixtape, which is actually pretty solid. A lot of athletes get laughed at for trying to start a music career, but Shumpert is no joke. He definitely has some mic skills.

Now he’s adding to his collection with a video of his freestyle over Lil Durk’s “Chiraq” beat. You’ll definitely want to check this one out. As a warning, the music video is probably NSFW, but whenever you get home go back to it.

You’ve got Shumpert in face paint rapping about why you shouldn’t mess with him along with scantily clad women dancing on a couch and an old man dressed like a clown. It’s completely surreal, but Shumpert’s rhymes are really solid and it’s very well produced so it’s definitely worth a listen.

You can watch the video here and bask in all of it’s bizarre glory.

And please do not even start with the whole “he should be in the gym” routine. I know meatball fans love to yell about that any time an athlete is doing things besides the sport he plays, but come on. The Playoffs aren’t even over, and even if they were, Shumpert’s not going to be playing basketball and working out 16 hours a day. He has free time to enjoy hobbies just like everyone else–so let him live.
