Both the Indiana Pacers and the Atlanta Hawks are currently in their offseason as they have both been eliminated from playoff contention.

More from Atlanta Hawks

In fact, the Pacers and Hawks engaged in a wildly exciting series in the first round of the playoffs where the 8th seeded Hawks took the No. 1 seeded Pacers to seven games. Ultimately, the Pacers gutted it out and won the series on their home floor.

The Hawks/Pacers series highlighted a number of issues with the Pacers team, namely Roy Hibbert’s atrocious play and Evan Turner’s inability to help the team win games.

In the end, the two teams developed a rivalry that could last for years to come. Earlier today, the Hawks poked some fun at the Pacers and Lance Stephenson with this tweet:

Lance Stephenson is helping Horford blow out his candles on his birthday! How nice of him. It seems that the two men have put the rivalry aside for now to enjoy some cake together.

Okay, so joking aside, this is a fantastic zing from the Atlanta Hawks on Stephenson. If you don’t know what exactly is going on here, then you clearly have been living under a rock.

During Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Lance Stephenson blew into LeBron James’ ear in order to get a rise out of the four-time MVP. Unfortunately for Lance, his shenanigans did not pay off as LeBron came back with a vengeance in Game 6 to close out the series.
