The Magic sit in prime position at the 4th spot in the NBA Draft. By most accounts, the top four prospects of the draft are a step above the rest of the pool, those being Joel Embiid, Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, and Dante Exum. Sitting in the 4th spot, the Magic likely will sit back and pick up the remaining prospect on the board.

However, the Magic may be looking at a wildcard with the fourth pick. Marcus Smart is scheduled to come in a second time to work out with the Magic, according to Cow Bell Kingdom’s Jonathan Santiago.

"What’s next for each prospect that came through Sacramento on Monday? Smart, Ennis, and Vonleh are apparently heading to Los Angeles for a workout with the Lakers on Wednesday. Smart has a second workout scheduled with the Orlando Magic and will make a visit to Boston as well."

The much-heralded workout in Los Angeles will be the more high-profile stop, but the more intriguing visit will be in Orlando. Smart certainly has the credentials, considered to be one of the top picks in last year’s draft. However, most consider Australian Dante Exum to be the better prospect. If the Magic do take Smart, they’d certainly court one of the best defensive backcourts in the league with Victor Oladipo.

We don’t know what the Magic will do with their two lottery picks, but they clearly have options and the number of prospects that will be there for them no matter what they decide on doing.
