During the last few months, the drama from Dolphinsgate has settled down but it might be picking back up after recent comments from Maurkice Pouncey.

More from Miami Dolphins

As you’ll recall, Mike Pouncey was allegedly involved (in some capacity) whit the Miami Dolphins bullying scandal though we’ve never found out just how much. Mike hasn’t ever commented on it, other than suggesting that he didn’t have any regrets and considering he’s still on the roster, the Dolphins must not feel his inclusion was worthy of being kicked off the team.

There have been talks of a psychiatric evaluation though and given Mike Pouncey’s recent tweet about not being able to wait for the ‘gifts’ new Dolphins rookies would get them, the center has been under fire.

Things have become so bad, Mike’s brother, Maurkice who plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers, says his brother is being ‘tortured’.

“I’m really, really close with him, and for them to keep torturing him like that, man, it’s terrible for him,” Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey said, via Alan Robinson of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “But he’s strong and motivated about things. He’s kind of just not talking to them right now, but with time, everything passes over, and that’s what we’re planning on.”

Maurkice seemed to insinuate that his brother can’t be ‘himself’ and has had to tone down his personality.

“He’s outgoing like me, and it’s [tough] he has to tone it down, but they kind of take stuff and run with it,” Maurkice said. “I wish it could be a lot different for him, because I know he’s stressed out about it.”

It’s certainly a slippery slope when it comes to the situation and rather ironic in nature.

Understandably, Miami Dolphins fans are likely tiring of it all and it’s hard to blame them.
