He may not have won over many with his antics in the Eastern Conference Finals, but Lance Stephenson was still one of the most productive players in basketball this past year and that’s something that will be weighed when it comes time for teams to consider making him free agent offers.

Stephenson will hit the market this summer and plenty of teams will at least kick the tires to see if he’s a fit on their roster. For most teams, Stephenson’s production is very  much a fit but his antics aren’t.

According to SheridanHoops, two teams to keep an eye on in the Lance Stephenson sweepstakes this summer will be the Chicago Bulls and the Charlotte Hornets.

"Sources say the Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls are two teams to keep an eye on in the Stephenson sweepstakes. The Hornets could offer Stephenson a lucrative contract, with the franchise only on the books for $42.6 million, in an effort to upgrade at shooting guard over Gerald Henderson."

Just last week, Bulls beat reporter K.C. Johnson reported that there’s not a whole lot going on with Stephenson in the Chicago front office but here’s yet another report linking him to the team. Charlotte seems to be a more realistic fit as not only is the team looking for improved production next year but the could use a little bit of the edge and personality Stephenson has.

Either way, he’s going to be a hot free agent regardless of his antics and more than just the Bulls and Hornets will be looking at him with interest.
