NBA Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers want to acquire LaMarcus Aldridge
By Josh Hill
The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking at ways to improve their team this offseason so that they’re not in a position to win the No. 1 pick for yet another year. Cleveland isn’t settling for just assembling spare parts to get better, they’re going for a home run acquisition and are chasing LaMarcus Aldridge.

Cleveland getting Aldridge is a lot easier said than done, but the uncertainty in being able to pry him away from the Blazers is not scaring the Blazers away from at least trying.
According to Sam Amico from FoxSportsOhio, the Cleveland Cavaliers are indeed interested LaMarcus Aldridge and plan on making a push to acquire him this offseason.
"The Cavs are indeed interested in Aldridge, but it’s hard to envision the Blazers being open to moving him after their magical season. Aldridge was great all season and particularly remarkable in the playoffs. His price would be very high."
The Blazers giving up Aldridge seems highly unlikely but you can never say never in the NBA. He was pretty unhappy with the Blazers last season leading up to this one but the winning ways have seemingly changed his mind, and leaving that to go to the sports vortex of suck that Cleveland represents probably isn’t high on his list.
Still, money talks and it will be interesting to see if the Cavs are indeed able to get Aldridge or if this is just another one of their cooky ideas they think about but can never pull off.
