The Washington Redskins are sure to look like a vastly different team come the 2014 season as not only do they have additional weapons on offense, but they’ll also be getting the return of a healthy Robert Griffin III.

But of course, the big offseason acquisition of DeSean Jackson is the head turning move which will likely either look genius or flounder, though fellow wide receiver Pierre Garcon seems to love the idea of playing alongside Jackson, recently stating the two can be the best wide receiver duo in the league.

“That’s our goal — to unseat (Jeffery and Marshall),” Garcon said. “But I guess last year their stats were the top two receivers on the same team — to be up there in the top 10 category for catches and yards or however they play it out. They are two good receivers, but we’ll be up there next year fighting for that position.”

Garcon’s comments of course come after Alshon Jeffery of the Chicago Bears stated he and teammate Brandon Marshall were the best tandem in the league, a sentiment that Garcon obviously disagreed with.

He has some reason to do so considering Garcon is a very talented wideout when healthy and now paired with a down field threat in Jackson, the two could challenge the Bears duo would need a healthy season from Garcon to do so.

That’s easier said than done as Garcon seems to be riddled with nagging injuries quite frequently, though the two will certainly do what they can to reign supreme.
