X Games Austin 2014 Skateboard Big Air Men’s final results: Tom Schaar takes the gold (Photos)

Friday night at X Games Austin, one of the more anticipated events played out as some of the best skateboarders in the world battled it out in the Men’s Big Air Final.

Bob Burnquist, Rony Gomes, Edgard Pereira, Trey Wood and Tom Schaar all took to the ramp to claim the ultimate prize, and when it was all said and done, it was 14-year-old Tom Schaar became the second-youngest winner of the event next to Ryan Scheckler.

Burnquist came in second place taking the silver, while Pereira took the bronze.

Schaar’s best run that gave him the win was his third in which he registered an 89, narrowly edging out the 88 that Burnquist notched in his second.

One thing you have to love about the X Games is the sportsmanship shown by all the athletes, such as Woods and Gomes cheering on Pereira:
