The Orlando Magic have the No. 4 pick in the draft this year and that means they may be moving a veteran piece of their roster to make room for a new addition.

Aaron Afflalo has been the subject of trade rumors for the better part of a year but he hasn’t yet been moved despite various chances to do so. It looked like he could be traded at the deadline back in February but the Magic held onto him and are instead shopping him ahead of the draft.

According to Brian Schmitz of The Orlando Sentinel, guard Arron Afflalo isn’t actively seeking a trade out of Orlando but should one happen he’s not going to cling the the railings as he’s dragged away.

"Magic SG Arron Afflalo holds a player option for 2015-16 and can become a free agent after next season.Orlando’s classy leading scorer wouldn’t mind being moved to a playoff team. The clock is ticking loudly on his career as he’ll turn 29 in October."

This is a move that makes a ton of sense for both Afflalo and for the Magic as Orlando will eventually want to move Victor Oldadipo into the starting lineup and he can easily replace Afflalo. As for the benefits for Afflalo, he’s still only 29 and can contribute to a contending team like the Chicago Bulls or anyone else looking for shooting, and moving him wouldn’t be a crippling move for the Magic.

He may not be traded, but with Dante Exum or Marcus Smart sitting as high possibilities for the Magic at no. 4 overall this month in the draft, Afflalo’s days in Orlando seem to be numbered.
