NBA Rumors: Chandler Parsons wants to stay with Houston Rockets

The future of veteran Chandler Parsons in Houston is a bit hazy at the moment as he may end up playing somewhere else next season despite the fact that his best fit may be with the Rockets. It’s becoming a turbulent time for Parsons in Houston as the team is expected to decline the fourth year on his contract which would make him a restricted free agent but all hope is not lost that he could return.

Houston will likely match any offer that comes his way in the hopes that it’s perhaps cheaper than it would have been if they had negotiated themselves or picked up that fourth year option.

As for Parsons, he isn’t all that excited to leave Houston and would actually prefer to stay and continue to build on what is growing with the Rockets.

That’s an encouraging sign as usually a contract dispute or a situation like this causes tension between the player and his team, but Parsons doesn’t seem too fazed by the situation. He wants to be back in Houston and the Rockets would be foolish to not at least entertain that idea, but they’re running the risk of losing him if they decline his option.

It’s not bad business to have someone negotiate for you, as that’s was restricted free agency is, but it could get ugly if someone overpays for Parsons and the Rockets lose him without getting a chance at a decent price.

It would be foolish to let a player this caliber get away. I’m betting he stays here for many years and has a stellar career. I don’t think health will be an issue- he recovers well. He’s a well-rounded player and a fan favorite. The bad part for him is that he will miss the plane rides with JLin. RINGS ON THE WAY!!!

knicks did the same thing and lost lin this way, houston willing to pay everyone else needs to give him his due or there is a chance he may get an offer he can’t refuse. parsons is a big part of the chemistry this team has and when the offense goes stagnant as it has many times during the season he has been a boost.

Let’s be clear here, we know what Parsons can and can’t do for the Rockets. With that, he’s in the latter category. One only need to look at our recent playoffs to easily see how Parsons and Lin are the biggest reasons why we’re sitting at home watching the Spurs battle the Heat.

This was our year, here. We don’t get chances like this where the stars really aligned for us thus year. The fact we match up so well with Spurs, and the fact the Spurs breathed a sigh of relief when Portland took us out in the first round is just maddening.

We could have very well been facing the Heat right now. And when you look back, all no missed lay-ups by Parsons and Linux —- even critical ones that totally uncontested just shows how average these dudes are on the big stage.

Parsons did nothing to have two Superstars in Howard and Harden to really kill the competition, that comes with “White boys”. We won’t have that problem with Melo. That’s for sure!

parson the biggest reason lol you should recheck that. james harden the main reason and the lack of defense from the team.
