During the Miami Marlins and Chicago Cubs game, a foul ball was hit by Marcell Ozuna and made it to the stands.

More from Chicago Cubs

A Cubs fan was originally trying to catch the ball but unfortunately dropped it back onto the field. The man was obviously upset, throwing his hat to the ground and throwing his hands up in the air with frustration. He had turned around and missed the fact that Cubs outfielder Nate Schierholtz decided to grab the ball and toss it back up in the stands. This time, a Marlins fans caught it. Obviously feeling bad that the Cubs fan was the one to originally drop it, the Marlins fan decided to give the ball back. The Cubs fan was delighted and went to sit with his friend a few rows behind the Marlins fan.

The broadcasters checked back to the stands after a few minutes of play and found that the Cubs fan had walked down and gave the ball back to the Marlin’s fans kid. Everyone sitting around them clapped at the gesture. Not to mention the little boy was incredibly happy.

Here’s the situation caught on camera:

An awesome example that two rival team fans can put their rivalries behind them and be civil in the crowd.
