How much would you pay for a 4,000 square foot home near the Florida coast? A quarter of a million dollars? Maybe more?

If you’re Shaquille O’Neal, you pay just over $235,000 dollars and you end up selling it for $10. Yes, that’s correct, the former NBA great and current minority owner of the Sacramento Kings decided to sell one of his Florida mansions for a ten dollar bill according to TMZ.
“TMZ Sports has obtained official documents which show Shaq recently sold a 3,904 square foot home near Orlando, FL to a man named Yves Paul Demesmin for a cool TEN DOLLARS.
Seriously.
Shaq signed the trustee’s deed — which was filed was filed in California — on March 6, 2014 … giving Demesmin control of the 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom property. According to public records, Shaq bought the home in 2012 for $235k.”
So who exactly is Yves Paul Demesmin? Obviously a very good friend of O’Neal, but TMZ suggests he’s also Haitian businessman who owns a tax services company in the Orlando area. Apparently, it must be a pretty lucrative business because even if the house only cost $10 bucks, the property taxes on the real estate should be a pretty penny.
TMZ states they’ve made multiple calls to O’Neal but have yet to hear back.
Clearly, I need to become friends with Shaq.
