Arizona Cardinals star cornerback Patrick Peterson is one of the best players at his position in the league, and he is looking for a new contract and pay raise with his current negotiations.

However, unlike other players around the league, Peterson will not be holding out.
Peterson plans on reporting to the Cardinals mandatory minicamp that officially began today.
“Like I told you guys, I won’t hold out so we got that done,” Peterson said Monday night, via John Weinfuss of ESPN.com. “I will be there . . . be there full tilt ready to roll, taking that final step into camp.”
Peterson and the Cardinals have made some progress throughout their negotiations and it is a real possibility that the two sides could reach a deal by the start of the regular season.
There is the fact that Peterson is under contract for two more years, but he has exceeded all expectations and has drastically outplayed his current contract, so there is no doubt that he is deserving of a big pay raise that could make him one of the highest paid defensive backs in the NFL.
