NBA Rumors: Lakers unlikely to sign Chris Bosh
By Bryan Rose
The Los Angeles Lakers known that they don’t exactly have a ton of time to put a winning product on the floor considering Kobe Bryant doesn’t have a ton of run left in his body.

Because of that, rumors have hinted the Lakers are doing what they can to shop their No. 7 pick in the upcoming 2014 NBA Draft, likely for a veteran who can assist Bryant in getting the Lakers back to the top of the Western Conference.
There have also been rumors suggesting that the Lakers could target potential free agents like Chris Bosh, but that appears rather unlikely.
Bosh has reiterated a desire to remain with the Miami Heat multiple times in recent weeks and doesn’t seem intent on leaving the fun life of South Beach, even if Hollywood is calling.
It’s also possible the Lakers would prefer to use their cap space elsewhere because, unlike many teams, the Lakers actually have a legit shot at signing a superstar talent with their free agency money.
All of that seems to suggest the two sides coming together is doubtful, a sentiment shared by Fox Sports’ Sam Amico who, when pressed about the possibility of Bosh playing for the Lakers gave a one word answer.
“No“.
Bosh would likely be a fine third wheel, as he’s proven to be with the Heat, but the Lakers need to use their cap space and/or assets to acquire a potential franchise star or somebody who can play alongside Kobe and eventually take over as a leader of the team.
