Carmelo Anthony says he hasn’t thought about Miami Heat rumors
By Josh Hill
The Miami Heat are down 3-1 to the San Antonio Spurs and it’s looking like their run at a three-peat might be over. While the series still has at least one more game left in it, a lot of the talk about the Heat has focused on who they can add in the offseason and what they can do to improve.

One of the names being kicked around seemingly started as a joke but has somehow gotten serious. Carmelo Anthony joining the Heat is an idea that fans use to troll Heat supporters for wanting as many superstars on roster as possible but recent rumors have began to swirl that such a deal could happen.
If there’s any truth to these talks, it hasn’t reached Carmelo Anthony yet.
"Melo was leaving Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills last night when we asked about the latest rumor making the round — that LeBron, Wade and Bosh would all take pay cuts to get him to Miami.“I ain’t hear about that one,” a smiling Anthony said … “That’s a new one.”"
If Melo and LeBron were to team up in Miami it would likely be after next year. The Big 3 will probably all opt back in for another season but there’s a chance Dwyane Wade retires in 2015, Chris Bosh leaves to cash in on a fat contract for the last time in his career and Miami will be left with enough money to fit both James and Melo on the books.
That very fact that I just logically figured that out shows how quickly this has gone from a joke to being something we will hear about endlessly for the next year.
