The NBA Draft is right around the corner and it appears that the Orlando Magic are starting to zero in on who they want to take at No. 4 overall. While Dante Exum remains the most exciting prospect in the draft thanks to his wild card nature, the Magic continue to fall in love with Marcus Smart and it’s looking like he could be their pick at No. 4 overall.

Smart would have been a lock for a top pick had he come out last year and not returned to Oklahoma State, but the guard did and he hurt his stock in the meantime. But that stock has taken a rebound and Smart is now looking like a top five pick and the Magic are making it so.

According to Josh Robbins of The Orlando Sentinel, the Magic are very serious about Marcus Smart and view him as someone they can take at No. 4 overall and not feel bad about it.

"Orlando Magic executives love Smart’s intangibles. They value his leadership, toughness and competitiveness so much that they might select him fourth overall in the 2014 NBA Draft on June 26."

Orlando is going to go guard with their first pick, that seems obvious at this point, and it has been a questions of taking Exum or Smart. With less than two weeks to go before the draft, it’s looking like Smart will be the pick and it’s up to someone else to trade ahead of the Magic if they really covet Smart that much, as he won’t last long once the Magic go on the clock.
