Former Atlanta Braves slugger Chipper Jones is a Southern boy, that’s a well-known fact. Born and raised in Florida and spending his entire Major League career with the Braves, the thick drawl and down home manner of Jones are unmistakeable.

More from Atlanta Braves

Chipper rides 4-wheelers, goes hunting, wears camouflage, enjoys NASCAR racing, and partakes in all those activities for which Southern people are associated with. The now-retired Jones is the co-owner and co-host of the television show “Major League Bowhunter” which airs on The Sportsman Channel, along with his friends Matt Duff and Jeff Danker.

So it should come as no surprise that those who surround Jones would know exactly what he likes. And when it comes to Father’s day, Chipper got a gift that was perfect for someone like him.

No, not ties or cologne or a new recliner. His Father’s Day gift from fiancée Taylor Higgins would have a very Southern flavor to it. And by flavor, we mean this.

A bouquet of tobacco products and liquor – that’s about as Southern as you can get. I suppose that’s the South’s version of the “edible bouquet”.
