It’s rapidly coming down to decision time for the no. 1 running back recruit in the 2015 class, Damien Harris, and according to Rivals, he’s going to take a much deeper look at his options as he’ll be taking his official visits to the Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes and Kentucky Wildcats.

Recently, Harris named his top eight schools that he is seriously considering at this point, and of course, the three mentioned above were on the list. There is still no word as to whether or not he’ll be visiting the others.

Harris, out of Berea, Kentucky, is the no. 1 overall running back recruit left in the 2015 class, according to 247 Sports. He’s also considered the 23rd overall prospect according to the composite rankings.

He has taken a slew of unofficial visits during the recruiting process, but that time is now up for the 2013 Gatorade Player of the Year, who rushed for 2,621 yards last year as a junior with 42 touchdowns on 220 carries.

As for his destination, that’s up in the air right now.

The Crystal Ball prediction on 247 Sports is heavily leaning toward Harris heading to Columbus with 66% of the vote. With Urban Meyer desperately in need of some running back help, and with the 2015 Buckeyes class moving rather slowly at this point, you can bet that they’ll pull out all the stops when he gets to Columbus.

However, we all have seen what happens when a top running back recruit gets to Tuscaloosa to visit with Nick Saban and company. It could be very easy for the Tide to get him to fall in love with the prospect of being the next great SEC back.

Then, there’s the home state Wildcats, whom not many are giving much of a chance, but there are a lot of youngsters that like to stay close to home these days.
