Many believe that person issues led to the release, but as far as Eagles wide receiver Bob Bicknell is considered, there were never really any issues between himself and Jackson.
Last season was Bicknell’s first year in Philadelphia, and he had nothing but great things to say about Jackson.
“All I can say is I’ve never had a problem with DeSean Jackson,” Bicknell said, via CSNPhilly.com. “I enjoyed coaching him. I enjoyed the year I had with him. . . . I wish him nothing but the best. He did everything I asked him to do, and I really enjoyed being around him.”
Unfortunately for Jackson, it seems like the feeling wasn’t the same from his head coach, Chip Kelly, who ultimately made the call to give Jackson the boot.
There was a moment last season where Bicknell and Jackson got into a heated argument on the sideline, but Bicknell brushed that moment off as something insignificant.
“Honestly, I don’t really remember too much about the situation,” Bicknell said. “It’s not something that really was carried very long. It’s something I think does happen time to time, but I had no problem with DeSean whatsoever.”
Now that he has been released from Philadelphia, he will have a chance to get a fresh start and that will come in Washington.
