There are a lot of teams that would undoubtedly love to land the services of LeBron James, should he decide to opt out of his deal with the Miami Heat and become a free agent this summer.

More from Houston Rockets

One of the teams that has been rumored a lot as of late in regards to coveting James has been the Houston Rockets, who according to Howard Beck of Bleacher Report, are prepared to make an “all-out push” for the best player in the game.

"League sources say that Houston is preparing to make an all-out push to land James when free agency opens on July 1, assuming James opts out, as expected. If the Rockets miss out on James, they will turn their full attention to Carmelo Anthony. Chris Bosh is also on the radar. There are rumblings that James will start weighing his options this weekend. One rival executive pegged his chances of leaving Miami at 40 percent."

James to the Rockets would no doubt make them an instant title contender, as we’ve seen with their recent playoff run that they’re close to breaking through the proverbial glass ceiling.

Assuming James does opt out and the Rockets do land him, pairing him up with Dwight Howard, James Harden and the rest of that talented squad can only spell big things for the team, and panic for the rest of the teams in the Western Conference.
