The rivalry between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers is so fun to watch play out because, like many of the other great college football rivalries, the battle doesn’t just stop on the field. No, the fight is also taken to the recruiting trail where these two top-tier programs fight for the commitment of some of the best high school players in the nation, like 4-star offensive guard prospect Tyler Carr.
Well, on Tuesday, the battle for Carr’s services on the offensive line will come to an end as he’ll be making his decision between the two SEC powers on Tuesday.

Carr, out of Gadsen, Alabama, is deciding to stay in his home state to play for either the Tide or the Tigers, despite holding some other tremendous offers from the likes of Georgia, Florida, Arkansas and Texas–just to name a few.
According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Carr is the 10th overall rated offensive guard prospect in the 2015 recruiting class, and he’s the number six player from the state of Alabama.

A commitment to either school on Tuesday will undoubtedly be a huge boost to both schools’ classes, although in Alabama’s case, it would further solidify them at the top.
As of right now, according to 247, Nick Saban and the Tide have the top overall class for 2015, which includes a total of 19 commitments. A pledge from Carr would put them at an amazing 20.
Auburn, while not at the top, is right there at number five for 2015 with 15 commits.
