It has been a big weekend for the Oregon Ducks.

More from College

On Saturday, they landed a commitment from 3-star offensive tackle Calvin Throckmorton. Then, on Sunday, another 3-star offensive tackle, Jake Hanson, gave his pledge to the Ducks.

Throckmorton took to twitter to announce his commitment and had a special message for those recruiting him.

“I wanted to thank each school from the Pac 12, Big 10, MWC, ACC and SEC conferences for giving me the opportunity to achieve my dream of playing football at one of it’s highest levels. I truly appreciate the time and consideration of each school and wish each the best of luck in their upcoming seasons.”

The 6’5, 268-pound Throckmorton is from Newport, Washington and attends Newport High School. He is ranked as the country’s 61st-best offensive tackle prospect, the 10th-best overall prospect from the state of Washington and the 527th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings. He also holds offers from the Arizona Wildcats, Arkansas Razorbacks, Miami Hurricanes, Michigan Wolverines, Stanford Cardinal and Washington Huskies, among others.

After a visit, Hanson knew he wanted to be a Duck.

“Probably after seeing everything, the campus and the facilities, meeting with the coaches I knew I wanted to play at Oregon,” said Hanson via Matt Prehm of 24/7 Sports. “I was going to wait a couple of weeks and maybe see a couple other places to make sure. But after all the other commits I decided I wanted to do it now.

The 6’5, 285-pound Hanson is from Eureka, California and attends Eureka High School. He is ranked as the country’s 78th-best offensive tackle prospect, the 79th-best overall prospect in the state of California and the 707th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015. He holds offers from the Arizona Wildcats, California Golden Bears, Fresno State Bulldogs and Hawaii Warriors.

The Ducks now have eight commitments in the class of 2015.
