ROH: Best in the World PPV results

RoH held its first cable and satellite pay-per-view last night after years of excruciatingly frustrating internet pay-per views in which the company was plagued with server issues.

Ring of Honor, America’s number three promotion behind WWE and TNA, looked to make a splash, as the company’s growth has stunted after a dozen years. RoH was once home to stars such as CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, and many many others.

Their “Best in the World” show took place in Nashville, TN and even featured names familiar to casual wrestling fans like Matt Hardy, Kazarian, Maria Kanellis and Christopher Daniels.

Results for the event are below:

1. ACH won a six-man mayhem match also featuring Caprice Coleman, Tadarius Thomas, BJ Whitmer (w/Adam Page), Tommaso Ciampa and Takaaki Watanabe when ACH pinned Thomas with a 450 splash.
As a result of his victory, ACH earned a future RoH TV title shot>

2. Jay Lethal defeated Matt Taven via pinfall (Lethal Combination) to retain the RoH TV title.
During the match, Truth Martini was handcuffed to the ring post to prevent interference.

3. Cedric Alexander submitted Roderick Strong (W/Adam Page, Tadarius Thomas) with the Strong Hold in a submission match.

4. The Briscoes (w/Nick Searcy) defeated Matt Hardy and Michael Bennett (w/Maria Kanellis) by DQ.
The match was immediately restarted by Nigel McGuinness, and made into a no-dq match.

4. The Briscoes (w/Nick Searcy) defeated Matt Hardy and Michael Bennett (w/Maria Kanellis) via pinfall (Jay Driller to Hardy).
This may end up being Matt Hardy’s final RoH appearance, as he’ll be working for TNA this week.

5. Kevin Steen pinned Silas Young with a Package Piledriver.
Steen is finishing up soon, as its assumed he is going to the WWE.

6. Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly beat Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian via submission to retain the ROH Tag Titles.
