The Utah Jazz are obviously not happy with the fifth-overall pick in Thursday night’s NBA Draft.

More from NBA

After selecting point guard Trey Burke last season, the Jazz would love to add another young talented player and finally get back on track after losing big men Al Jefferson (to the Charlotte Hornets) and Paul Millsap (to the Atlanta Hawks) a year ago.

According to Jody Genessy and The Dessert News and Tim Montemayor of KFAN 1320 in Salt Lake City, the Jazz are “frantically” trying to move up and likely have included big man Derrick Favors in porposed deals because they don’t want to trade future picks.

The Jazz likely have their eyes on former Duke Blue Devils’ forward Jabari Parker. Parker went for 19.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 47.3% from the field, 35.8% from beyond the arc and 74.8% from the free throw line last season. The last time Parker was officially measured, he came in at 6’8.5 and 240 lbs. with a wingspan of 6’11.5 at the Kevin Durant Camp in 2013. Jonathan Givony of Draft Express has Parker ranked as the third-best prospect.
